Eye Shadow Colors By Eye Color Guide
Many women make the mistake of trying to match their eye makeup colors to their clothes. The correct approach is to match your eye makeup and eye shadow colors to the color of your eyes and also to your overall skin tone, complexion and coloring. You skin complexion and hair color will determine the overall intensity of the eye makeup and eye shadow colors that you use.
A good example is the very light skin blonde women who choose to wear a very dark shade of shadow, be it black, gray or even brown. The contrast to the light complexion can really make them look like a clown. In reality eye shadow, eye makeup and all makeup that is on your face should always enhance your natural beauty and not be the focal point of your face.
It is a fact that not all colors of eye shadow will look good with all eye colors. For example, the use of silver is never a good makeup for green eyes, and the use of pink doesn't work too well with blue eyes.
Most women want their eyes to pop and using the proper eye shadow colors based on eye color is the way to achieve this. Whether you are looking for a daytime natural look or a very sexy, alluring and dramatic evening eye look, using the proper eye shadow colors by your eye color is critical, plus of course a few eye makeup tips and eye makeup tricks can't hurt. You can create some magnificent looks using the right eye shadow colors that match, compliment and enhance the natural beauty of your eye color.
Shades of Eye Shadow
There are three basic shades of shadows, light, medium and dark.
Light
Light colors make the eyes look more open and larger and can help to brighten the eyes.
Medium
The medium tones add depth to the eyes.
Dark
The dark shades and tones provide both contrast and depth and can add shape to the eyes. These tones are better for those with darker eyes, and also are especially good for more olive and darker skin tones, as opposed to those with very fair skin and light hair.
